Jameel Art Centre


The Jameel Arts Centre is an innovative and ambitious platform for the production, display, research and learning of the arts, located in the vibrant heart of Dubai's Culture Village. Opened in 2018, the Jameel Arts Centre is the first institution of its kind in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). It is dedicated to championing artistic excellence, engaging with society, and fostering a spirit of creativity, innovation, and inspiration. The Centre is home to a range of cultural activities and exhibitions, including contemporary and modern art, film screenings, music performances, workshops, and more. It is also home to a variety of educational and research resources, including a library, lecture and discussion spaces, and a dedicated archive. The Centre also hosts a range of public and private talks, events, and conferences. The Jameel Arts Centre is a place for people of all ages and backgrounds to explore and discover the richness of art and culture in the region. Through its diverse programming and research, the Centre strives to foster a sense of community and global understanding, while making a lasting impact on the city and region.


Height: The building stands at five stories tall with a total height of 21 metres (68 feet). Location: Jameel Arts Centre is located in the heart of Dubai's Al Fahidi Historical Neighbourhood, at the corner of Al Fahidi Street and Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Street. Design: The centre was designed by the award-winning architecture firm Serie Architects. The building was designed to be in harmony with the existing context, while introducing modern architectural elements and materials that respond to the climate and the environment. Structure: The building is composed of two distinct parts: a five-storey gallery and a two-storey courtyard. The main gallery is composed of seven galleries, a library, and a cafe. Features: The building features a unique façade made of concrete and glass, creating an atmosphere of openness and transparency. Inside, the centre houses a range of modern amenities, including a cafe, a library, an auditorium and a rooftop garden. Cost: The centre was built at a cost of USD $20 million. Build Time: The building was designed and constructed over a period of two years.


Ain Dubai


Ain Dubai is the world's largest observation wheel. Located on Bluewaters Island off the coast of Jumeirah Beach Residence in Dubai, it stands at over 250 metres (820 ft) tall and has a diameter of 520 metres (1,710 ft). It contains 48 air-conditioned capsules, each one capable of carrying 40 people, as well as a viewing deck, restaurant and retail outlets. It also offers panoramic views of the Dubai skyline, Palm Jumeirah, the Arabian Gulf and the city of Dubai.


Location: Ain Dubai is located at Jumeirah Beach Residence in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Design: Ain Dubai features a modern and elegant design, with a wheel composed of two circles that are connected with two arms. The wheel is illuminated with LED lights that create a stunning visual effect, while the cabins feature glass walls for unobstructed views. Structure: Ain Dubai is supported by a steel structure and is equipped with a state-of-the-art braking system. It has a total of 48 cabins that can accommodate up to 1,400 passengers. Features: Ain Dubai offers a range of features and amenities, including a 360-degree view of Dubai's skyline, an interactive multimedia system, a VIP lounge, and an on-board restaurant. Cost: The construction cost of Ain Dubai is estimated to be around $1 billion. Build Time: Construction of Ain Dubai began in April 2017 and was completed in October 2020.
