Deputy Ruler Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum
Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum is the current Deputy Ruler of Dubai and the Minister of Finance and Industry of the United Arab Emirates. He is the third son of the late Ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum. Sheikh Hamdan is also the Chairman of the Dubai Executive Council, which is responsible for the day-to-day running of the emirate. He is also the Chairman of the Investment Corporation of Dubai, which is one of the largest investment companies in the Middle East. Sheikh Hamdan is a prominent philanthropist and is involved in a wide variety of charitable activities. He is also a keen sportsman, and is a member of the International Olympic Committee.
Deputy Ruler Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum
Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum is the Deputy Ruler of Dubai, United Arab Emirates. He is also the Chairman of the Dubai Executive Council. Sheikh Maktoum is the son of the Ruler of Dubai and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. Sheikh Maktoum was appointed Deputy Ruler of Dubai in February 2006 and was given the additional post of Chairman of the Dubai Executive Council in October 2008. He is responsible for coordinating the activities of the various government departments within Dubai. Sheikh Maktoum is also a businessman, philanthropist and sports enthusiast. He is the President of Dubai Sports Council and Vice President of the UAE Olympic Committee. He has been involved in several major commercial and residential projects in Dubai. He is also a patron of a number of charities and has contributed to social, educational and cultural initiatives.
Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum
Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum is the Chairman and Chief Executive of Emirates Airline and Group, President of the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, Chairman of Dubai World, and the Chancellor of the University of Dubai. He is the son of the late Sheikh Saeed bin Maktoum Al Maktoum and his mother is Sheikha Mariam bint Butti Al Maktoum. He is a member of the Dubai Executive Council, the Supreme Fiscal Committee, the Higher Committee for Hosting the World Expo 2020 and the Higher Committee for the Development of Dubai. He also serves as Chairman of Dubai Supreme Fiscal Committee and the Dubai Aviation City Corporation. Sheikh Ahmed is the founder of the Emirates Group and has been instrumental in transforming Dubai into a major hub in the aviation and tourism industry. He has successfully led the development of the world's largest airport, Dubai International Airport, as well as the Dubai World Central - Al Maktoum International Airport. Sheikh Ahmed has been named one of the most influential people in the Middle East by Forbes. He has received numerous awards throughout his career, including the Wings of Gold Award from the International Air Transport Association and the Star of Dubai Award from the Government of Dubai. In 2020, he was awarded the Order of Zayed, the UAE’s highest civil honor.
